Ana is a professor and associate dean for faculty at Católica Porto Business School. She is a researcher in regulation and an integrated member of CEGE-Research Centre in Management and Economics. She is currently participating in two research projects on the regulation of drugs (particularly cannabis).
Ana received a PhD in Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge with a thesis entitled ‘Regulating contracts in the independent television production industry’, supervised by Professor Simon Deakin. She participated in the CBR international projects EUROCAP and REFGOV, and was a national expert in the project B2B Unfair Trading Practices in the Retail Supply Chain. Ana has also co-authored a number of consultancy studies for the Portuguese Media Regulator. She was a member of CGI, the independent supervisory council of the Portuguese Public Service Broadcaster, and is currently president of the fiscal board of Sonae Sierra and ORES Portugal, two companies in the retail real estate sector. Her research interests lie in studying the role of regulation in the development of markets.
