Professional history

Eric is the Co-founder and Managing Director at Altruism Consulting, a boutique consulting firm with a focus on delivering marketing strategy, consumer insights and leadership development solutions to small-medium enterprises in China. In 2018, Eric also founded Altruism Career, targeting various stages of career developmental needs and creates tailored, long-term impact for international students and working professionals. As an experienced career consultant, Eric mentored over 3,000 students and young professionals by offering personalised career solutions and inspiring them to discover their strengths. He has successful helped college students, fresh graduates, PhD candidates, MBA and young professionals around the world receive internship and full-time job offers in corporate and professional service sectors, including some of the most prestigious companies in the world such as McKinsey, P&G, BMW, Siemens, Deloitte, Amazon, HSBC and Merck.

Prior to his entrepreneurship journey, Eric served as a Strategy Director, Consulting Manager, and Consultant for many international consulting firms, including Kantar Consulting of WPP, Gallup, and Towers Watson. He also worked as an Industry Strategy Planning Specialist at the Colorado State Government in the United States and a Strategy Manager at the West Airport Group in China.

Eric earned his undergraduate degree in marketing and an MA degree in organisation development in China and holds an MS degree in strategic management from the University of Colorado.

Society & charity work

Eric is one of the leaders for the CJBS Shanghai and Beijing alumni groups. In the past four years, Eric has organised more than twelve CJBS alumni group network events in China and helped CJBS alumni groups in China develop partnerships with a few global leading companies, including Jaguar Land Rover, Ctrip and JLL.
