Visiting Fellows Programme
The Centre for Business Research operates a Visiting Fellows Programme. This programme is by invitation only and Visiting Fellows are ordinarily expected to participate in the on-going research of the CBR. This has brought a number of distinguished academics to the CBR recently.
Unfortunately it not possible to accept any other requests for visiting status.
Visiting Fellows in 2012
Professor of Management and Economics at Keio University, Japan, and a Visiting Scholar at
Nankai University, China. Professor Taniguchi will be a Visiting Fellow until the end of October 2012.
Visiting Fellows in 2009
Professor of Economics at Jadavpur University, India. Professor Sarkar will be a Visiting Fellow until September 2010.
Visiting Fellows in 2008
Emeritus Professor at the University of Manchester. Professor Metcalfe will be a Visiting Fellow for two years.
Senior Lecturer in Economics , University of Limerick.
Dr Lenihan will be a Visiting Fellow at the CBR until the
end of May 2008.
Visiting Fellows in 2007
Reader in Management at , University of London.
Dr Konzelmann was a Visiting Fellow at the CBR until the
end of September 2007.
Visiting Fellows in 2006
Professor (Catedrático) at the Business Economics department at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). Professor Crespi was a Visiting Fellow at the CBR until the end of February 2007.
Professor of Law at the University of Illinois College of Law. Professor Williams is a guest of the CBR's Simon Deakin until the end of June 2006.
Visiting Fellows in 2005
Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and an International Research Fellow with the Institute
of Fiscal Studies. Professor Hall was a guest of the CBR's Alan Hughes and Professor Andy Cosh from
July 2005.
Visiting Fellows in 2004
University of Alberta School of Business, Canada and New South Wales School of Banking and Finance, Australia. Dr Cumming was working with John Armour from
January to June 2004.

Senior Industrial Economist in the Research Department at the Confederation of Italian Industry. Dr Trau was a CBR Visiting

MIT Sloan School of Management, is a frequent visitor to the
CBR and was a Visiting Fellow in
January to March 2004.
Visiting Fellows in 2003
Co-Director of the Engineering Systems Division, and Associate Dean of Engineering Systems at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology. Professor Roos was a guest of Alan Hughes and Nick Oliver from
April to June 2003.
Osaka City University Business School, was a CBR Visiting Fellow from
January to July 2003.
Department of Management, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, was a CBR Visiting Fellow from
January to June 2003.
