Ana Lourenço

Research Associate

Ana is currently a lecturer at CPBS-Católica Porto Business School and co-coordinator of the Double Degree in Law and Management. She is a researcher in media regulation and an integrated member of CEGE-Research Centre in Management and Economics. Ana is also a Member of CGI, the independent supervisory council of RTP, the Portuguese Public Service Broadcaster. 

Ana received a PhD in Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge with a thesis entitled 'Regulating contracts in the independent television production industry' (supervised by Professor Simon Deakin). She was a participant in the international projects EUROCAP (Towards a European Politics of Capabilities) and REFGOV (Reflexive Governance in the Public Interest) and a national expert in the project 'B2B Unfair Trading Practices in the Retail Supply Chain'. Ana has also been a consultant within CEGEA, having co-authored a number of studies on the economic analysis of the main media groups in Portugal for ERC, the Portuguese Media Regulator. She co-authored 'Droga e Propinas: Avaliações de Impacto Legislativo', a study on the social costs of drug law and tuition fees regulation in Portugal, commissioned by the Portuguese foundation FFMS. She has also received scholarships awarded by FCT-Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.
