Andrea Mina is Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Research, University of Cambridge. He is also Research Associate of the Business Economics and Management Division of the Judge Business School (Cambridge) and Associate and Co-investigator of the newly established UK Innovation Research Centre @ Cambridge University and Imperial College London. Andrea actively contributes to the teaching of Business Economics (MSc in Management, Judge Business School) and of Science and Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge (MPhil in Entrepreneurial Science and Innovation Policy).

His research focuses on the problem of technical, organisational and institutional change with special emphasis on the emergence of new technologies, dynamics of innovation systems and networks, industry growth and evolution and the financing of innovation. Andrea's research has been funded, among others, by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Medical Research Council (MRC), the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) and the European Commission.
